LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Angelic voiced New Zealander Brooke Fraser broke into the Billboard Top 200 this week at #90 with sales of her U.S. debut Albertine (released: May 27 on her own indie Wood & Bone, distributed through RedEye). The disc was featured on iTunes as an “editor’s music choice” last week and broke into the Top 10 Albums at #5 alongside artists like Coldplay, John Mayer and Katy Perry. It remains on the front page as a “staff favorite” this week. Fraser has just wrapped the first leg of her North American headlining tour with sold out performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Annapolis and Toronto. She will return to the road on August 6 at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas with a third leg to be announced for September. Since its release, Albertine has earned rave reviews in the press: “...Fraser is on a mission to change the world. Her voice is the only instrument she needs.” - Venus Zine "Brooke Fraser is not just a pretty voice... rather intelligent, delicately crafted songs about confusion and beauty and the heart’s longing... whose music incorporates a mixture of strength and fragility that is entirely engaging and endearing." - Willamette Week “Brooke Fraser is a voice clearly speaking truth, through lyrics of sustaining power.” – Blogcritics.org Brooke Fraser embarks on the second leg of her North American headlining tour in August with further dates to be announced for September.
